So you’re interested in adopting a tiny demon nugget or two?
Here’s what to do!
First things first! You’ll need to navigate to the “Adopt” page and submit an application to be considered. Emails, DMs, inquiries made through adoption sites like Petfinder, will not be considered en lieu of an application. Applications are required and the first step of the process!
Take your time when filling out the application. Answer all questions fully and completely, as incomplete applications will not be considered. This includes not answering all parts of the question! Additionally, please be sure to read the baby’s bio in its entirety as posted on the adoption site. If, for example, you apply for a kitten who has special needs yet you are not open to adopting a baby with special needs, your application will not be considered.
Please provide as much information as possible in your application. I aim to make the best matches for my babies and the more info you provide, the better! I don’t practice “first come, first served” adoptions. I’m looking for the best match considering their personality, temperament, and any unique needs they may have. Their medical histories and any unique needs will be fully disclosed to potential adopters with approved applications.
I DO adopt out of state (but only within the US) frequently! You are absolutely welcome to travel to Florida to pick up your baby and I can walk you through that process - its not as scary as it sounds! Alternatively, I do use a volunteer group to help transport rescue babies home. These options and any associated fees will be discussed with approved adopters.
Please refrain from sending follow up emails, DMs, inquires through adoption sites, or duplicate applications. I may receive hundreds of applications at a time. When each applicant follows up multiple times, it slows down the entire application review process. If you forgot to include something, its ok to email that, but please try to take your time and include it in the application initially!
Similarly, I may not be able to respond to every single applicant, as at times, the volume is overwhelming. I deeply apologize for this, but I’m only one person! I work full-time and care for all these tiny hooligans around the clock. Often times, I am caring for critically ill babies who need a lot of time and attention and their care comes first. Thank you for understanding!
